The Last Berth Of The Fighting Temeraire
The final project, we collabolate with The National Gallery. Choosing a painting and develope the idea into Animation form.
The painting called 'The finghting Temeraire' by Turner is the painting inspired me. What caught my eyes: The sadness of the sunset and the cruel turn of the new era.

I found some sentences which describe the painting thoroughly:
''The ghostly Temeraire glides solemly to its death,
towed by a funeral tug belching fire and soot,
as the sun sets in glory and a pale new moon rises.''

This warship had bravely played an important role in the Battle of Trafalgar. But she ended her days in the age of steam. The kind of feeling i caught cannot be express clealy here. It's like the feeling of big loss, abandonment..... I reckon this suffering feeling happens among our lives.

So, my idea is creating a spiritual human-like Temeraire dancing for her last berth. As she dances, there are some images of her glorious days flashing out in the background. Thus, It's the mixed style of 2D and 3D.
